| My friend and I pulled my motor this last Saturday after a party, amazing what a bottle of rum and no concept of time can accompish - it took longer than usual though(hmm... I wonder why), we started at 2am and finished at 6am. Here's a pic of my filthy engine bay. I was thinking of a simple green soak, and a low setting on the power washer to clean it. Then a once over with a scrub brush.

I pulled the motor to do a number of small things, wont be long before shes back. Last time I pulled it, it snagged and chunked the manifold where I had bolted the chains (the two small wholes on each side of the intake manifold) - luckily i still had the stock boost solenoid bracket at the time to support the rest of the pull. Since then I have removed the solenoid brackets, so I decided to pull the motor this way - I'm sure some of you have done this, but it was nice to pull the motor with out worrying.
Its hard to tell, but I actually wrapped the chain around each side of the manifold (with a towels to prevent damage to powdercoat) ................ So when that inevitable time comes when I get pulled over, the interior will look like this...
Then I will resume...
The switch where the lighter used to be is for the illuminated rear panel. Also, a couple of my friends and I designed a bracket for this caliper. The machine shop is taking forever, but I guess you can't rush quality work. Compared to stock this calpier is significantly lighter, about 2-3 pounds.
For now we're gonna use what I have as far as rotors - freshly turned skyline ones...
I'll let you know what I think of these calipers. If they're what they're supposed to be (which I don't doubt) we may set up a kit for a groupbuy - we just so happen to have a resale license ;-) Here are a couple extra pictures I snapped. My Z, 92 GTI and my buddies Z (doing some brake work). Dont mind the mess.
The GTI is going up for sale in a week or so - I need suspension for the Z... hey, I have priorites - hehe
280z to 240z hybrid (small block 350). The front end is kind of jacked up, a truck cut him off and he hit the trailer hitch - ofcourse there was no damage to the truck. Do you like the wheels? :-P
